Single Skin Roofing
Single Skin roofing can be cut and shaped into a range of built-up profiles, to fit any roof design. This flexible option uses coated sheets of steel, aluminium, zinc or copper, which have a high fire rating, bacterial resistance and anti-corrosion protection.
Single Skin Roofing is popular for industrial buildings including warehousing. Despite being a single layer of metal, it is high load bearing, robust and long-lasting. Further insulation can be incorporated for additional sound insulation.
Twin Skin Roofing and Cladding
As the name implies, Twin Skin Roofing is made up of two layers of profiled metal sheets. These are separated by a metal grid, which creates space between the two skins. The grid is filled with insulation and lining material which provides thermal efficiency and soundproofing.
Twin Skin is popular for industrial buildings. It is a rapid means of weatherproofing a building with a durable roofing and cladding solution.
Composite Roofing Panels
Composite panels are relatively quick to install and deliver on performance, so it’s little wonder that they’ve become a popular roofing solution on modern commercial and industrial premises. They are designed for longevity, with superior resistance to wind, rain, fire, impact and fading.
To engineer composite roofing panels, an insulating layer of polyurethane is sandwiched between two skins of steel or aluminium. This offers all the robust and durable benefits of metal roofing, whilst minimising condensation and cold spots.
Rubber Roofing Systems
Although JMF Roofing specialises in metal roofing and cladding, we are also experienced in the installation and repair of rubber roofing systems. Provided in a variety of thicknesses, this rubber membrane is suited to commercial buildings with a flat or low slope roof.
If correctly installed, rubber roofing is durable and protective. Our aim is to minimise the number of seams, to cut the perfect fit and to take specific care to fit around pipes and protrusions in the roof. Solar panels and planting for a green roof can be installed onto rubber roofing.
Standard Seam Roofing
Created from interlocking metal panels, Standard Seam roofing is mechanically seamed or snap-locked to create a watertight seal. This creates a visually appealing uniform vertical linear effect, as well as a robust and long-lasting roofing solution.
In addition to aesthetics, this panelled system allows full thermal movement of the metal roof. It offers a solid, tight covering to commercial and industrial buildings and architectural details, including roof lights and access hatches can easily be incorporated.
Rainscreen Cladding
Buildings in the UK and Ireland are subjected to more than the occasional downpour. Rain can penetrate through leaks in the roof and walls, but Rainscreen Cladding provides the added level of protection against water damage.
Rainscreen Cladding forms a double wall. The inner layer provides thermal insulation, helping to reduce energy loss. The outer layer provides protection against the weather. If any moisture does penetrate this outer layer, ventilation and drainage features mean it never reaches the inner layer.
